My name is Galuh, and I am a machine learning engineer currently working at Parloa, where I build tools to evaluate conversational AI agents.
My work focuses on the intersection of machine learning systems and product development. For over 8+ years, I've built various ML systems from the ground up. I've worked across risk and fraud detection, natural language processing, computer vision, and customer analytics throughout Southeast Asia and Europe, spanning domains from food delivery and payments to social media. I enjoy the challenge of translating complex technical problems into solutions that actually work for real people in production environments.
I've also been involved in community building around inclusive tech spaces. I co-hosted Kartini Teknologi, a podcast about women in Indonesian tech; served as a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning; co-organized Global Diversity CFP Day in Jakarta, Indonesia; and volunteered with organizations like ReDI School and Aidha that work to make tech more accessible. I have given conference talks to audiences around the globe, such as Women Techmakers 2020's keynote on machine learning with TensorFlow, ScotlandJS 2018 on building command-line tools with JavaScript, and PyData Berlin 2024 on data transformations at scale with dbt.
Outside of work, I am an avid reader, urban sketcher, and street photographer. My photography has been featured in exhibitions in Jakarta and Montreal, and published by outlets including Eyeshot Magazine. I also enjoy long-distance hiking and spending time in the outdoors.
